One new word at a time — actually verified.
Every card introduces exactly one unfamiliar word, surrounded by words you already know. Most decks claim this; we verify it on every card with dependency-graph sorting.
One new word per card, in a sentence you can already understand. Native audio, natural usage, sensible order. No grammar lectures. No English on the front.

Three months finishes a 1,000-card deck at that pace.
80–90% of casual spoken content in your target language.
Glot decks rest on two well-known principles: comprehensible input (Krashen, 1985) — language acquisition happens when learners understand messages, not when they memorise rules — and i+1, where input is most useful when it contains just one unknown thing beyond what the learner already knows.
Deck structure is inspired by the immersion-first approach popularised by Refold. We're not affiliated — their free roadmap is excellent as a full study framework.
Refold makes great decks. We differ in three ways: (1) we ship dialect variants as separate products so you pick the right one, (2) we let you preview thirty cards before buying, (3) we're cheaper — $19 against $30+.
Sentences are drafted by Claude; audio is rendered by ElevenLabs. Both are vetted by native speakers before release. We're transparent about the stack because the quality stands on its own — try the preview and judge.
Yes. The .apkg format works on every Anki client: Desktop (Win/Mac/Linux), iOS (AnkiMobile, $25 one-time), Android (AnkiDroid, free) and AnkiWeb in the browser.
Absolutely. Once imported, they're yours. Edit text, swap audio, delete cards, add your own — standard Anki behaviour.
Anki supports suspending cards. Skim the first 50–100 on arrival and suspend anything you already know well. Each deck includes a frequency-rank metadata file so you can jump to your level.
Seven days, no questions asked. The preview exists so you know what you're buying. If you change your mind, email hey@glot.study within a week.
We email new editions to buyers when we ship material improvements. Reimport the new .apkg — Anki deduplicates by card ID.
